The Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) is systematically advancing the Thai cosmetics industry by strengthening collaboration among key stakeholders from the public sector, private sector, academia, and research communities. A seminar entitled “Value Creation of Innovative Thai Health Products: Cosmetics” was organized from 11–12 February 2026 at Centara Life Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre, Chaeng Watthana, Nonthaburi Province, under the theme “Innovation-Driven Beauty Economy: Strategies for Value Creation in Thai Cosmetics through Innovation.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Rungruthai Muanprasitporn, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai FDA
The seminar aimed to integrate research, innovation, and safety standards in order to enhance the capacity of Thai entrepreneurs to develop high-quality, safe, and globally competitive cosmetic products. It also sought to foster an innovation ecosystem conducive to the sustainable growth of Thailand’s beauty industry.
The program featured keynote lectures, in-depth panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions led by experts and partner agencies.
Day 1 focused on innovation-driven value creation strategies, the commercialization of research outputs, and government support mechanisms to facilitate market entry for innovative products.
Day 2 emphasized strengthening safety and efficacy standards, updating testing technologies in accordance with international standards, and preparing entrepreneurs to comply with Thai FDA regulatory requirements. These efforts aim to enhance consumer confidence and build trust among international trade partners.
The seminar was organized in collaboration with major partner organizations, including the Department of Medical Sciences, the National Nanotechnology Center, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association, the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS), academic institutions, leading private-sector companies, as well as entrepreneurs and Thai FDA officials. This initiative enhances entrepreneurs’ competencies, strengthens cooperation networks, and ultimately increases the competitiveness of Thai cosmetics, supporting the steady and sustainable advancement of Thailand’s beauty industry on the global stage.
In her closing remarks, the Deputy Secretary-General reaffirmed that the Thai FDA stands ready to serve as a “central mechanism” to coordinate efforts across all sectors in elevating Thai cosmetic innovation internationally, strengthening consumer confidence, and reinforcing the long-term resilience of Thailand’s health economy.
