The 10th Thailand-Japan Symposium under the theme "A Decade of Partnership: Advancing Regulatory Excellence for Health and Innovation"

Food and Drug Administration, Thailand (Thai FDA) and Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency, Japan (PMDA) collaborated to drive the medical products (Pharmaceutical and Medical devices) including future technologies and innovations through the 10th Thailand-Japan Symposium under the theme "A Decade of Partnership: Advancing Regulatory Excellence for Health and Innovation"

Dr. Narong Aphikulvanich, Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, highlighted past 10 years’ achievements for the academic cooperation such as adaptation of Japanese Pharmacopoeia as a reference in Thailand, abridge review pathway acceptance from PMDA in medicine registration including collaboration procedure for accelerated registration on medical devices.  These achievements will make patient can access medical product that meet quality, efficacy, and safety as well as international standards, along with timely access to new innovative medical product, effectively responding to emerging health challenges.

Finally, the Thai FDA and PMDA emphasized that the Thailand-Japan symposium will contribute significantly to cooperation filled with opportunities, challenges, and endless possibilities that embark on the next chapter of developing product regulation preparedness, and efficiently facing future challenges.
