
Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, stated that the Thai FDA mobilized its personnel to prepare essential medicine kits, medical supplies, and basic necessities. A total of 39,212 kits were prepared for distribution to flood-affected communities in the southern provinces, which are currently in urgent need of public health assistance. particularly Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.

This effort was made possible through cooperation with 11 pharmaceutical manufacturers under the Thai Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (TPMA), namely: Community Pharmacy Public Co., Ltd., T.O. Chemicals (1979) Co., Ltd., Siam Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Sriprasit Pharma Co., Ltd., Leopard Medical Brand Co., Ltd., Burapha Dispensary Co., Ltd., Siribuncha Co., Ltd., Thai Nakorn Patana Co., Ltd., Golden Cup Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Polypharm Co., Ltd., and Millimed Co., Ltd.
Support was also provided by agencies under the Ministry of Public Health, including the Department of Health and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO).
Regarding transportation, the Thai FDA received kind support from the Royal Thai Navy, with HTMS Chakri Naruebet assigned to transport the medical supplies by sea to the affected areas. The vessel is expected to arrive in Songkhla Province on 26 November. Upon arrival, the Songkhla Provincial Public Health Office will promptly distribute the supplies to communities across affected areas to alleviate hardship and ensure comprehensive coverage of basic healthcare needs in all high-risk locations.
In addition, the Thai FDA provided essential medicines to the Royal Thai Police for further distribution to flood victims, totaling 64 boxes. The supplies were transported by aircraft of the Royal Thai Police and are expected to reach the affected areas on the same day.
The Secretary-General further expressed sincere appreciation to all partner agencies from both the public and private sectors for their timely and collective support in this critical relief mission. She reaffirmed that the Thai FDA will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide ongoing public health support until the situation returns to normal.
