From 2–4 February 2026, the Thai FDA, together with its partner organizations, organized the 2026 Seminar on the Promotion of Community Health Product Entrepreneurs at TK. Palace Hotel & Convention, Bangkok. Dr. Rungruthai Muanprasitporn, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, stated that Thailand is implementing national development policies under the 20 Year National Strategy, focusing on strengthening economic competitiveness and social equity. As part of the grassroots economy master plan, the government aims to increase the value of community products by promoting distinctive identities and creativity, while enabling entrepreneurs to expand their products into both domestic and international markets. Dr. Rungruthai emphasized that the development of grassroots entrepreneurs requires cooperation among all sectors. Therefore, the Thai FDA organized this seminar to enhance knowledge related to business operations, product development, and market competitiveness for entrepreneurs. The event brought together experts from universities, representatives from the Department of International Trade Promotion, the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, the Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Thailand Post, private-sector experts in marketing and exports, provincial public health offices, entrepreneurs, and Thai FDA officials. More than 350 participants attended the event to exchange experiences and strengthen collaboration among partner agencies in promoting community health product entrepreneurs.

In closing, the Deputy Secretary-General noted that the collaboration between the Thai FDA and its partner networks will help address existing challenges in developing grassroots entrepreneurs. By integrating knowledge on innovation and creativity, the initiative aims to increase the value of community health products, strengthen grassroots entrepreneurs, and expand opportunities for international competitiveness—transforming Thai local wisdom into global opportunities under the concept “From Local to Global.”
