Oyster shell scrub is a community based innovation created to address the problem of discarded oyster shells by grinding them into a fine powder and developing a safe exfoliating formula in collaboration with academic institutions. The project received support in equipment, formula development, production standards, cosmetic notification, as well as packaging and marketing design from various sectors. This approach transformed waste materials into value added products, generating income and promoting sustainability within the community.
