Thai FDA Showcases Success of Thai Food Entrepreneurs at THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 Generating More than THB 23 Million in Business Value and Advancing the “From Local to Global” Policy

Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA), announced the successful participation of eight selected Thai food entrepreneurs in the exhibition and business matching activities with domestic and international buyers. Following the successful conclusion of THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026, held from 26–30 May 2026 at IMPACT Forum, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province.

wQz47Y1GBwAfuXD4yKs0weef.jpgThe entrepreneurs participated under the FY 2026 Thai Health Product Export Promotion Project, jointly implemented by the Thai FDA and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). The initiative aims to expand business opportunities and promote the export of high-potential Thai health products to international markets in line with the Government's “From Local to Global” policy.
The participating companies showcased a wide range of innovative Thai food products, including functional foods, dietary supplements, alternative protein products, cocoa products, crispy seafood snacks, medical foods, and value-added agricultural products. Throughout the exhibition, they engaged in business discussions with buyers from numerous countries, highlighting the diversity and export potential of Thailand's food industry.

The exhibition generated highly encouraging outcomes. The eight exhibitors recorded on-site retail sales totaling THB 366,000, while business matching activities secured confirmed purchase orders worth approximately THB 2.7 million. In addition, projected purchase orders expected within one year after the exhibition are estimated to exceed THB 20.9 million, bringing the total business value generated and anticipated to more than THB 23.9 million.

During the event, the participating companies conducted business negotiations with 595 prospective business partners, comprising 223 international buyers and 372 domestic buyers, reflecting strong market confidence in Thai food products and significant opportunities for continued market expansion both domestically and internationally.

Secretary-General emphasized that these achievements demonstrate not only the capability of Thai entrepreneurs to develop high-quality and innovative food products, but also the important role of the Thai FDA's regulatory system in building international confidence in Thai health products. Robust regulatory standards contribute to enhancing product credibility, facilitating market access, and creating tangible export opportunities.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the Thai FDA's commitment to continuously supporting Thai entrepreneurs through regulatory guidance, capacity building, product standard enhancement, and expanded participation in international trade platforms. These efforts aim to strengthen the competitiveness of Thai health products, increase export potential, and create greater value for Thailand's health economy in accordance with the “From Local to Global” policy.
