The Thai FDA, in collaboration with the European Business and Commerce Association (EABC), exchanged visions and discussed cooperation to enhance the regulation of pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, and food.

Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, welcomed the delegation from the European Business and Commerce Association (EABC), stating that the Thai FDA is pleased to exchange information and discuss the progress of operations with the EABC delegation on four key issues: 1) mechanisms to promote public access to medicines, such as self-care and Risk Sharing Agreement or Managed Entry Agreement between the government and pharmaceutical companies, 2) cosmetics regulations, 3) nutrition labeling for food, and 4) the prevention and enforcement of illegal health product violations online. These discussions aim to enhance the effectiveness of health product regulation to be more modern and aligned with the current situation.

The Secretary-General concluded that after today's discussions, the Thai FDA is ready to provide useful information and cooperate with the EABC, emphasizing the vision of the "New Thai FDA" as an advanced organization ready to collaborate with both domestic and international manufacturers, as well as research agencies. The success of our work depends on cooperation across all sectors, and the participation of stakeholders will enhance the efficiency of the Thai FDA's operations.
