Thai FDA Opens Forum for Food Entrepreneurs to Co-Design the Future of Thailand’s Food Industry for the Global Market

The Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) organized a public consultation forum for food entrepreneurs to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and provide recommendations on food product regulation in all dimensions. The initiative aims to utilize feedback from entrepreneurs, together with technological advancements, to further develop faster and more modern services that can support the future growth of Thailand’s food industry.

Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General of the Thai FDA, stated that the Thai FDA places importance on enhancing service delivery and regulatory systems through modern technology under the policy “FDA On Health Up: Elevating the Thai FDA for All Thai People.” Achieving the objectives of this policy requires feedback from all relevant stakeholders to support the development of comprehensive regulation service which include legal development, authorization processes, post-marketing control and surveillance, as well as information services provided through the Food Division’s website.

The meeting was attended by more than 200 representatives from food entrepreneurs and organizations related to the food industry, including the Federation of Thai Industries (Food and Beverage Group), Pediatric Nutrition Manufacturer Association (PNMA), the Advertising Association of Thailand (AAT), the Digital Advertising Association (Thailand), the Media Agency Association of Thailand (MAAT), as well as relevant officials. Participants actively shared constructive opinions aimed at fostering the concrete development of Thailand’s food industry.

The Secretary-General emphasized that opening such a forum to encourage stakeholder participation in improving the Thai FDA’s services marks an important milestone. This initiative will help strengthen consumer confidence in the quality, safety, and standards of food, while driving the national food industry toward sustainable growth and enhanced global competitiveness.
